About the Committee

The Community-Engaged Learning Advisory Committee (CELAC) supports the advancement of community-engaged/service learning, as well as academic internships, at Stanislaus State. The Committee brings together faculty, staff, students, and community partners to strengthen community-engaged teaching and learning across campus. CELAC serves in an advisory capacity, guiding program development, informing policy, and promoting meaningful partnerships that benefit both students and the community.

Each year, the Committee identifies key priorities, such as expanding CEL/SL course offerings, strengthening assessment, or supporting community engagement events to help advance the University’s strategic goals for community-engaged and service learning.
