In our South Gallery, we will be featuring the artwork of Lori Goodman. Lori is a multi-media artist, whose sculptures and installations center on the fundamental task of papermaking, utilizing the bark of the Japanese mulberry tree. She dyes long, shiny, translucent fibers, creating an intense and integral color. Then the paper is stretched as skin over an armature of reed, cane or bamboo. The process of preparing her pieces becomes intuitive and involuntary.
