What Is the Museums Studies Minor?
Why Minor in Museums Studies? The Museum Studies Minor offered jointly by Anthropology and Art History provides students with the foundational knowledge, skills, and training required to assume entry level positions at a wide variety of museums and cultural institutions. Program coursework in Anthropology and Art History emphasizes museum practice and theory, professional museum standards and ethics, collections care, multi-vocal interpretation of collections, and exhibit development. Students will gain hands-on experience through course projects and internships.
