WSCUC Senior College and University Steering Committee  

Purpose 

As part of our WASC Senior College and University (WSCUC) 2026-2027 reaffirmation of accreditation process, our institution is required to submit an institutional report that will reflect the story of Stanislaus State, as discovered through our self-study of the institutional performance on WSCUC Standards and Criteria for Review (CFRs).  To achieve this goal, a Steering Committee will be charged to collaborate and support the WSCUC Executive Writing Team – AVP for Academic Affairs/ALO, Stuart Wooley, Professor of Communication Studies and WSCUC Principal Writer, Christopher Claus, Research Technician, Lisa Medina, and Student Success and Community Partnership Specialist, Erin Littlepage--to  meet with appropriate stakeholders to discuss the 2018-19 recommendations and commendationsthe 2022 interim report and commendations, and collect feedback and data related to the WSUC Standards and CFRs.

Charge 

Work toward the tasks listed below includes ongoing engagement and collaboration with the WASC Principal Writer and Executive Committee: 

  • Identify, gather, and organize evidence in line with the WSCUC Standards and Compliance worksheet.
  • Reach out to various stakeholders (students, staff, faculty, administration, and community members) and receive their input on the criteria for review (CFRs) and to help generate narrative language that will contribute to our institutional report. 
  • Assist in transforming raw data and evidence into draft language for inclusion in the essay(s) comprising the institutional report.  
  • Meet monthly (or bimonthly) with the Executive Writing Team.
