In accordance with state and local public health orders due to COVID-19, there will be no in-person or face-to-face events or activities allowed on campus through February 28, 2021. This message will be updated at that time to reflect the State and local guidance at that time.
- If a department has an on-campus event or business function that they believe is essential, please submit requests to your division vice president.
- More information regarding requests related to instructional work that requires face-to-face student and faculty interaction is forthcoming later this week.
Understanding that many events, activities, and interactions can be held in virtual formats we strongly encourage faculty, staff, and students to determine what events they might coordinate in virtual or remote formats. Resources related to planning virtual events can be found on the University Events Office website.
If you have questions about a virtual event you are considering, you are encouraged to contact the University Events Team at (209) 667-3913 or by email at events@csustan.edu. They are happy to answer questions about virtual event planning and management.
As you plan your activities we also remind you to submit your virtual event to 25Live to ensure your virtual event meets Safety & Risk Management procedures and is included in University communications. With ongoing changes in regional and state COVID-19 guidance, the use of 25Live to understand the scope of scheduled virtual and in-person events is beneficial.
