Dr. Anne W. Weisenberg received her Doctor of Education at St. Mary’s College of California. She has been lucky enough to follow her passion of teaching for over 30 years. She taught in K-12 schools in both general education and special education for over twenty years. During this time she also was a Reading Recovery® Teacher Leader and Literacy Professional Development trainer.

Her twelve years of experience at Stanislaus State has been as a Professor in the Multiple Subject Credential Program (MSCP)- Reading Methods, and Foundations of Special Education. She has also taught courses in the Reading Credential Master’s program. She is the MSCP Coordinator for the Teacher Education Department and the Assessment and Accreditation Coordinator for the College of Education, Kinesiology, and Social Work.

She has participated in many initiatives and grant work and regularly serves as a Board of Institutional Reviewer for the Commission
on Teacher Credentialing. Her research interests are action-based for program improvement. She is an Officer on the Board of Directors for the World of Wonders Science Museum in Lodi and the former president of the San Joaquin County Reading Association. She is committed to lifelong learning and believes that teaching is informed by ongoing education, research, and reflection.
