Karl Marx once said that philosophers had only interpreted the world, but the point was to change it!  I am not a Marxist, but I do agree with the sentiment.  It’s a sentiment that colors my views of philosophy and my approach to teaching it.

I have lectured in the Philosophy and Modern Languages Department at CSU Stanislaus since 2019, and my areas of research include: Social & Political Philosophy, Latin American Philosophy, Indigenous Philosophy, Chicano Philosophy, Anticolonial and Critical Race Theory.  In addition to teaching lower and upper division courses for the philosophy department, I often teach courses for the CSU Stanislaus Ethnic Studies department and the Office of Extended and International Education to bring college courses to local high school students.
