Laura Dickinson-Turner is an actor, director, and theater educator living and working in California's vibrant Central Valley. She received her BA in Theatre Arts (2005) and MA in English Literature (2014) from CSU Stanislaus and taught English for several semesters at Modesto Junior College before moving to Los Angeles in 2017 to pursue her MFA in Television, Film, and Theatre/Acting Option at Cal State LA (2020). Laura lived in New York City from 2005-2009, where she worked for Broadway general management company 101 Productions, Ltd. and the Institute of International Education. While in NYC, she was a member of MyMK47, a sketch comedy group that regularly performed at the Broadway Comedy Club, and she co-wrote/directed/produced the Off-Off Broadway play Five Seconds to Air. Since 2009, Laura has been associated with Prospect Theater Project in Modesto, CA, where she took over the role of Artistic Director in September 2025. Currently, she is adjunct faculty for the Theatre departments at Stan State and San Joaquin Delta College.
