We are excited to welcome Ms. Kirsten Jasek-Rysdahl to the faculty of the MSW Program. Kirsten might be familiar to some of you, as she actually began working in the MSW Program in the Spring. We are extremely proud to report that Kirsten is an alum of the MSW Program at Stanislaus State, class of 2006. In addition to an MSW, she also holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from William Smith College.

Kirsten is joining us as a full-time lecturer, with a specialized focus in teaching field seminar classes and working to help solidify field education in the MSW Program. Kirsten joins the faculty with a wealth of social work experience. She has worked in all areas of professional social work, as a practitioner, researcher, and administrator. She was the Outcomes and Evaluation Manager at Stanislaus County Behavior Health & Recovery Services from 2011-2021. She was the Staff Services Coordinator and Program Evaluator for First Five of Stanislaus County from 2008-2011, and she was the Director of the Turlock Family Resource Center from 2006-2008.

Clearly, she is well connected with agencies in our community and will be an invaluable resource to both the MSW Program and the broader University as we attempt to facilitate connections and partnerships with agencies and constituents in our service area.
