Dr. Kim joined the faculty of the Economics Department in 1999. He completed his B.A. and Ph.D. at Indiana University, Bloomington where he received the Outstanding Teaching Award in 1997. He was the Social Science Coordinator for the campus and received the Dedicated Advising Award in 2003 and Faculty Appreciation Award in 2002.
Dr. Kim's primary research and teaching interests are in the fields of International Trade and Finance, Industrial Organization, and Managerial Economics. He is an Associate Researcher for the Center for Public Policy Studies at CSU, Stanislaus. He actively participates and publishes his research in professional journals.
He teaches courses such as Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Quantitative Analysis in Economics, Managerial Economics, International Economics, and the U.S. and World Trade.
As a former international student himself, he is deeply concerned for and cares greatly for international students at CSU, Stanislaus. He is a member of the International Student Committee for the university.
