Duties
  • Assisting with development of interview schedules, questions and rating instruments and pre-screening of Title IV-E applicants
  • Serving on the IV-E team for panel interviewing, ranking, and selection of Title IV-E stipend recipients
  • Attending faculty meetings, participate on various other division committees, and assist with various other Title IV-E activities as required
  • Performing administrative duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Title IV-E
  • Project Coordinator, including but not limited to: preparing monthly activity reports and insuring student stipend contracts are completed
  • Conducting site visits to agencies to monitor and support the students’ learning experience and to ensure the requirements of the Division of Social Work and Title IV-E program are met
  • Assisting students and field instructors in the development of the student Learning Agreement and explores ways to format the competency requirements.
  • Conducting telephone contacts to obtain updates on students’ progress and learning experiences
  • Meeting with individual students as necessary around field experiences, assignments, and maintaining accurate documentation for student records
  • Monitoring the quality of the field instruction and agency experience
  • Engaging in placement development activities as needed
  • Participating in activities associated with IV-E & Division of Social Work recruitment events
  • Activities include, but are not limited to, conducting informational sessions on the Title IV-E Program, both on campus and within community organizations
  • Conducting IV-E field seminars and/or classroom instruction as required
  • Performing placement planning for incoming first year students, typically beginning over the summer (June) and requires in depth-interview with the student to determine individual education needs or special accommodation that might be necessary
  • May participate on standing or ad-hoc subcommittee of the Field Education Committee.
  • Teach Graduate Level Child Welfare Courses including, but not limited to Advanced Assessment and Intervention in Child Abuse and Neglect

Duties:
  • Administers training and/or supervises the training of large groups of employees or working one-on-one guiding a particular member of the staff
  • Responsible for preparing newly hired employees for their roles in the organization and for developing the skills and efficiency of all current staff
  • Responsible for written communications, such as creating or updating training manuals, job descriptions, and job performance feedback
  • Works with other supervisors in coordinating the training needs of CFS staff and the agency
  • Create training programs utilizing new technology (e.g. power point, online trainings) and maintaining current resources such as a library
  • Provide instruction to staff in a variety of ways and through many mediums, such as online training programs
  • Coordinate and supervises the MSW Internship Program. Serves as liaison to California State University, Stanislaus
  • Works with HR and checks references of potential new employees
  • Represent the department at conferences and public meetings including participation on committees such as CSA Staff Development committee, CCSJEC, CalSWEC, CCTA, California State University, Stanislaus
  • Collaborates with the Child Welfare Training Academy to ensure attendance by new staff and timely completion of their courses
  • Coordinates training opportunities with our multidisciplinary partners
  • Supervise a team of seven Social Services Assistants that provide transportation services for Child Welfare
  • Collaborate with the Management Team regarding State Mandated Trainings
  • Participate in various workgroups regarding training topics (CANS, ICPM, MAT)

  • Contribute to the Continuous Quality Initiative by reviewing open and closed Child Welfare cases and offering feedback regarding trends and possible changes in Agency practice
