Indigenous Wellness and Resurgence is the theme of Stanislaus State’s Sixth Annual Indigenous Peoples Day, but don’t expect lectures and panel discussions. 

Stan State has been selected to join the second national Student Success Equity Intensive (SSEI) cohort organized by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). The program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is designed to close equity gaps for Black, Latinx, Indigenous and low-income students. 

Participants were selected through a competitive application process. Stan State is the only California university chosen for the program.  

While a senior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Modesto High School, Ruben Marquez Jimenez won a national Youth Award and a $1,500 scholarship from the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF).
