James T. Strong, California State University (CSU), Stanislaus Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, has announced the selection of two CSU Stanislaus professors to receive the prestigious Elizabeth Anne B. Papageorge Faculty Development Award for the 2010-11 academic year.

Dr. Richard Wallace, Assistant Professor of Anthropology, and Dr. Marina Gerson, Assistant Professor of Biology, were recommended by the Leaves and Awards Committee and Dr. Betsy Eudey, Director of the Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Both were selected to receive the award, which recognizes and encourages outstanding achievement by probationary faculty members. Professors Wallace and Gerson were commended for their commitment to engaging and effective teaching, their scholarly records, and their considerable and welcome involvement in service to both the institution and the community.
