Incoming freshman students from all over California are participating in the California State University, Stanislaus Summer Bridge Program from
July 6-27.
A total of 42 students are preparing for their first-time college experience, living in The Village on campus, receiving an orientation to higher education that includes English and mathematics instruction, and participating in a number of activities. Their instruction features an English course taught by CSU Stanislaus faculty for advance credit and intensive mathematics placement testing preparation. Students sit in on class lectures, make use of University computer laboratories, and receive tutoring.
Now in its 23rd year and hosted by the University’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), the Summer Bridge Program provides the new students detailed orientation about campus programs and resources, such as academic advising, and prepares them for the fall semester registration process.
