What: Fifth Annual Thank a Veteran event
When: 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (ceremony begins at 10:45 a.m.), Nov. 6
Where: CSU Stanislaus, at the flagpole in the quad
Details: In commemoration of Veterans Day, the CSU Stanislaus Veterans Affairs Office and Troops to College committee invite the campus and community to the Fifth Annual Thank a Veteran event. Veterans and the general public are welcome. The event is designed to express appreciation to former service members for their service and sacrifice. Frank Bettencourt, a World War II Navy veteran and father and grandfather of two CSU Stanislaus staff members, will be honored during the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the Patriot Guard Riders, the American Red Cross and other veterans groups and agencies will provide informational booths and displays.
