Fabrication and Invention PD

Participants engaged in hands-on fabrication and invention activities designed to strengthen STEM teaching through creative problem-solving, innovation, and practical classroom applications. Educators explored invention-based instructional strategies and learn how to implement fabrication tools and activities in their own classrooms. The PD was open to PK-12 pre-service and in-service teachers teaching Math and Science.

Enhancing STEM Instruction with Sensor PD

August 5, 2026

The PD will focus on the effective use of sensors, including Force Sensors and Motion Sensors, to support inquiry-based and student-centered STEM instruction. Participants will explore ready-to-use lesson ideas, develop strategies for student-centered learning, and receive practical resources to implement sensor-based activities in their classrooms.

Time: 10 am - 4pm

Location: Science 104

The first 25 participants to register will receive a free probe to take back and use in their classrooms.

Registration is free, and free lunch will be provided.

The session is open to both pre-service and in-service Pre-K–12 math and science teachers.

A 0.5 Continuing Education Unit will be available with completion of the PD.
