Stanislaus State Research in Lesotho Reveals Early Human Collaboration in Harsh Environments

Assistant Professor of Anthropology Kyra Pazan is helping reshape scientific understanding of early human survival through archaeological research in Lesotho. Findings from a 242,000-year-old rock shelter suggest cooperation and social networks played a critical role in helping early humans adapt to harsh, high-altitude environments.
