Program Description
This is an online, professional learning experience. This 25-week course provides instructors with evidence-based teaching practices proven through independently-validated research to improve student success. Faculty who complete the course earn a nationally recognized Certificate in Effective College Instruction, the only college teaching credential endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE). The cohort will complete one module per week over 25 weeks during the 2023-2024 academic year, in addition to a monthly in-person/ virtual Cohort Meeting.
Course Components
- Start Date: September 25, 2023
- Each module will take 2-3 hours to complete
- Badges will be awarded for each block completed. Completion of all five blocks will culminate in a Certificate of Effective University Instruction.
- Participants are expected to complete 1 module each week, with make-up weeks built into the schedule to give faculty the flexibility to plan, practice, and implement the techniques.
