This celebration of the newly renovated spaces will showcase resources and services dedicated to preserving the rich historical memory of Stanislaus State as well as the wider county and state. Light refreshments will be provided.

Speakers

The esteemed speakers kicking off the afternoon’s festivities: Stanislaus State President Ellen Junn, Provost Richard Ogle, Dean of Library Services Ron Rodriguez, Professor of Geography Jennifer Helzer and student presenters, President of the Stanislaus Audubon Society Salvatore Salerno, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Librarian Margarita Zamora Saunders, and SCUA Librarian Mary Weppler-Van Diver.

Learn

View and learn from the one-of-a-kind treasures on display during the event, including an exhibit featuring 19th-century ornithological prints of the birds of the Pacific Slope and 19th-century volumes of John Muir’s “Picturesque California.” Two rare books that once belonged to former U.S. Presidents, including Abraham Lincoln, will also be featured.
