Dr. Germán Palacio is a Titular Professor of Political Ecology and Environmental History, Director of the Amazon Institute of Research, and Director of the Amazonas Think Tank of the National University of Colombia. He is also an Honorary Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Palacio will discuss the historic peace process and accord between the Government of Colombia and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and its impacts on Colombia and the Amazon Region.
