The University Art Gallery at Stan State is happy to announce the fine art exhibition Operating Under the Influence by Sacramento artist Ben Hunt from March 23 — May 5, 2023 with a reception Thursday, April 20 at 6 pm, and an Artist Talk at 6:30 pm.

Hunt explores sculptural and photographic forms in relation to our fabricated landscape, the phenomena of our environment, and family histories. As a Southern California native, Hunt has been struck by the region’s urban forest, agricultural, and industrial areas. The works touch on narratives that represent the collision of natural and synthetic forms, and the fragile and seemingly deceptive nature of photographic memory and recollection.

This exhibition will take place at the University Art Gallery on campus at One University Circle in Turlock, California. The gallery is located in the Theatre Building, and free parking is available in Lot 2 in half-hour increments. The exhibition is free of cost, open to the public, and wheelchair accessible. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 12-5 p.m. with a late close on Thursday evenings at 9 p.m.

By participating in this event, you agree to adhere to the Stan State Campus Event Protocols
