The University Art Gallery is proud to announce the exhibition LaToya M. Hobbs:  Woodcuts showing from Feb. 9 through March 16, 2023.

Hours of Operation:
TWF: 12 - 5 p.m.
Thursday:  12 - 9 p.m.

Hobbs is a Baltimore artist who uses symbolic imagery to facilitate an ongoing dialogue about the Black female body to showcase a more balanced perception of her womanhood, one that dismantles prevailing stereotypes. Through portraiture, Hobbs explores the themes of beauty, spirituality, motherhood and sisterhood.

A reception for the exhibition will take place on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m., with an Artist Talk at 6:30 p.m.

The University Gallery is located inside the Drama building, and the exhibition is free of cost, wheelchair accessible, and open to the public.
