Jeremy Garcia, Flamenco Guitar

Jeremy García is an acclaimed classical and flamenco guitarist, composer and educator. He serves as Affiliate Artist in Guitar at the University of Houston and is the Associate Artistic Director of the Houston Classical Guitar Festival. García is known for his dynamic performances and original compositions including his flamenco-inspired Suite Andaluz and his award-winning Zalamera. He co-founded Solero Flamenco and has performed internationally including for Queen Sofia of Spain. His latest album Nuevo Día features flamenco-infused arrangements of Spanish classics.

Kithara Duo, featuring Olga Amelkina-Vera and Fernand Vera, has been praised for their “touching musicality” and “elegant presentation” (Fort-Worth Star-Telegram). Since their founding in 2002, they’ve performed across Europe, South America, and the U.S., and their debut album Beings features original compositions by Olga, an award-winning composer. Their second album, Lingua Franca, showcases their arrangements of classical works. The duo has appeared at prestigious festivals and performed as soloists with the New Texas Symphony Orchestra. Known for their seamless playing, Kithara Duo also enjoys engaging audiences of all ages.

Gala Concert featuring: Jeremy Garcia, Kithara, Yuri Liberzon and festival participants.

Yuri Liberzon, a classical guitarist born in Russia and raised in Israel, is renowned for his technical ability and musicality. He has performed at prestigious venues such as New York’s 92nd Street Y, Florida State University and the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Liberzon has collaborated with esteemed musicians and performed with the Diablo Symphony and Tahoe Symphony orchestras. His discography includes three albums, with his latest release featuring music by Konstantin Vassiliev. A dedicated teacher, Liberzon has guided students to top music schools like Juilliard and Peabody Conservatory
