Paola Gonzalez

In celebration of Anthropology Day, the Anthropology Program invites the campus community to a presentation by Paola Gonzalez, senior environmental scientist supervisor with the California State Water Resources Control Board. Her presentation is entitled “Bridging Policy and People: Applied Anthropological Insights in Environmental Work.”

Gonzalez has served California for six years and works in water policy, racial equity initiatives and other agency priorities. Prior to joining the State Water Board, her work focused on interdisciplinary research related to water, sanitation, tourism development, sustainable water management and public health. She is a Fulbright Scholar and holds bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and health sciences as well as master’s degrees in applied anthropology and public health from the University of South Florida.
