Replace your tests with fresh ones as the extended expiration dates approach. If you have to, you can use an expired test until you can get new ones, as long as the control line is working. See your test instructions for details about the control line.

How to Get Tested for COVID-19

If you are a student, you may call the Student Health Center (SHC) at (209) 667-3396 so that SHC staff may help determine the best resources and level of care to assist you.

For no-cost COVID-19 testing availability in your area, search using the CDC's Testing Locator.

The Federal Home Test to Treat Program offers free tests and treatment at Test2Treat.org.

Low-cost or free tests may also be available at your local pharmacy, and/or ordered directly or by reimbursement of test costs through your insurance provider; please check with your insurance plan. Walgreens may be a local resource from where to obtain testing in-store or to order rapid antigen tests. Quest Diagnostics may also offer local in-person testing services.

U.S. households are now eligible to order 4 free COVID-19 tests at COVIDTests.gov. The COVID-19 tests will detect current COVID-19 variants.

As of April 1, 2024, the University no longer provides free rapid antigen tests directly for the general campus community.

Report COVID-19 positive tests online as required by the Stan State Isolation & Return Protocol and follow the steps provided.
