Community host Partners
Fellows have the opportunity to serve in following focus areas: K-12 Education, Climate Action and Food Insecurity. Stan State's College Corps has over 20 sites available to Fellows under each focus area- allowing Fellows to have hands-on experience for professional development and impacting local communities.
Community Host Partner Responsibilities
- Define Fellow roles and expectations.
- Communicate regularly with Fellows and Stanislaus State.
- Provide supervision, training, and support.
- Coordinate schedules to meet service-hour requirements.
- Evaluate performance and submit required reports.
- Track and approve Fellow hours and timesheets in a timely manner.
- Attend mandatory training's

Our Three Focus Areas
K-12 Education
Stanislaus State College Corps is a student-community leadership development program that seeks to support college students with innovative and high-impact practices that support K-12 Education in the Central Valley. This program will provide targeted advising in academics and emphasize career development.
K-12 Fellow members will have the opportunity to: provide weekly tutoring, near peer mentoring, and/or educational outreach services to K-12 students. Fellows will work 1:1 or in small groups to provide support around college and career readiness, financial awareness, as well as tutoring and mentoring services as needed at the partner sites.
Climate Action
Stanislaus State College Corps is a student-community leadership development program that seeks to support college students with innovative and high-impact practices that address the Central Valley’s issues around climate action and environmental stewardship. Stanislaus State students will have the opportunity to support K-12 school-based science education about the natural world. Fellows will plant and maintain pollinator gardens and native plant areas and develop smart practices for resource use including water use and edible food recovery.
Climate Action members will have the opportunity to:

Food Insecurity
Stanislaus State College Corps is a student-community leadership development program that seeks to support college students with innovative and high-impact practices that address food insecurity, health, and wellness in the Central Valley. This program provides targeted advising in academics and emphasizes career development.
Food Insecurity members will have the opportunity to:

Provide food distribution support to people who visit food banks, visit food distributions, have meals delivered to their homes, or are guests at shelters for at least 12-15 hrs/wk through the academic year.

Engage in outreach regarding food and resource availability.

Engage in Wellness outreach and support activities.
