Placement Coordinator

Kathryn holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Counseling. She has dedicated her career to supporting youth, families, and students through both community-based services and higher education.

Prior to entering higher education, Kathryn worked for six years as a Social Worker with a nonprofit organization serving foster youth, probation youth, and their families. In this role, she provided intensive support to help stabilize foster youth in their placements, connected youth and families with critical resources and services, and worked within both foster care and behavioral health systems. She also served in a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), supporting foster and probation youth in their transition back to their family homes or into foster care placements through case management, advocacy, and therapeutic support services.

Kathryn later served as the Program Manager for the Turlock Family Resource Center, where she provided leadership and oversight for programs designed to strengthen families and promote community well-being.

In 2022, Kathryn joined California State University, Stanislaus, where she began her work as an Academic Advisor. She currently serves as the Placement Coordinator for the Counselor Education Program, supporting counseling candidates throughout their fieldwork placement experiences and collaborating with school and community partners to ensure high-quality training opportunities. Her professional experience reflects a strong commitment to student success, educational access, and the development of future counseling professionals.
