The "Decision 2006" Turlock Mayoral Candidate Forum will be hosted and moderated by California State University, Stanislaus President Hamid Shirvani on Wednesday, October 11, and broadcast live on the University’s public access cable channel 2.
The program in the CSU Stanislaus television studio (DBH 159) will air from 7 to 8 p.m. and feature opening and closing statements by each of the three candidates – DJ Fransen, John Lazar, and Kurt VanderWeide. There will also be two question and answer sessions, the first fielding questions from President Shirvani and the second from members of the audience.
Members of the media and individuals from throughout the community representing various industry and public sector groups, including business, health care, environment, builders, farmers, manufacturers, education, and minority groups have been invited to participate.
Plans call for the program to be replayed several times before the November 7 Election Day on Charter Communications cable channel 2.
CSU Stanislaus will also carry a live election results program November 7 from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. on public access Charter cable channels 2 and 19 and Modesto’s Comcast government access channels 7 and 19.
