
Sinise and his popular band will perform in the University Amphitheatre at 8:30 p.m. Cash only ticket sales at the gate start at 6 p.m. and the Amphitheatre will open at 7:30 p.m. People are asked to bring their own low-back lawn chairs and blankets to the Amphitheatre which will feature an open setting on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A highly acclaimed actor probably best known for his role as “Lieutenant Dan” in the 1994 movie “Forrest Gump” and for his current starring role on the CBS television series “CSI:NY,” Sinise will be the featured guest of honor and performer during Saturday’s CSU Stanislaus 50th Anniversary Inaugural Gala.
Advance tickets for the concert can be purchased online through TicketWeb.com until 6 p.m. tonight (Friday, Oct. 24). They are available at the University Bookstore until 4 p.m. today (Oct. 24) and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 25). Prices are $35 general admission, $25 for University faculty, staff, and military veterans, and $20 for CSU Stanislaus students. The Lieutenant Dan Band is named after the character Sinise portrayed in “Forrest Gump,” a role that earned him an Academy Award nomination. The band, with Sinise on the bass guitar, plays a diversity of hit music ranging from Bruce Springsteen to Linkin Park, from Aretha Franklin to Jimi Hendrix.
