California State University, Stanislaus students will have the opportunity to put their academic studies on display at the 22nd Annual Student Research Competition on Wednesday, March 5. The afternoon competition will be held in the John Rogers Faculty Development Center at CSU Stanislaus.
With the deadline for submission of registration forms and research summaries set for Thursday, February 28, students from a number of different academic disciplines are expected to compete for the top three cash awards of $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third.
The Student Research Competition, conducted by the CSU Stanislaus Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, promotes excellence in undergraduate and graduate scholarly research and creative activity by recognizing outstanding student accomplishments. Individual and team presentations are on the program.
The purpose of the Student Research Competition is twofold: 1) to showcase excellent research conducted by CSU Stanislaus undergraduate and graduate students in all academic disciplines, and 2) to determine which of the student presenters will advance and represent the University at the May 2 and 3 California State University system competition at CSU East Bay in Hayward.
