State Ag Official to Speak on Challenges and Opportunities in California Agriculture

What:  Public lecture by Karen Ross, Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, presented by the Agricultural Studies Department, College of Humanities & Social Sciences, California State University (CSU), Stanislaus.

Karen Ross was appointed Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) in January 2011 by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. Secretary Ross has extensive leadership experience in agricultural issues nationally, internationally, and in California. She has served as President of the California Association of Winegrape Growers, Executive Director of Winegrape Growers of America, and as Executive Director of the California Wine Grape Growers Foundation.
