Further underscoring Stan State’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the lives of its students, the University has been placed on the CollegeNET Social Mobility Index (SMI) for a fifth straight year.

Stan State joins Cal Poly Pomona, Fresno State, CSU Long Beach and Winston-Salem State (North Carolina) as the only colleges to gain top-20 spots in each of the five years it has been produced.

CollegeNET is a provider of web-based on-demand technologies for higher education. Colleges that emphasize and develop academic support programs to help low-income students obtain college degrees and good-paying jobs consistently rank high in the SMI.

Stan State ranks 19th on CollegeNET’s SMI list for a second consecutive year, joining a host of California State University campuses in the top tier of this national index. While New York’s Baruch College tops the list for a fourth straight year, 11 CSU colleges earned spots among the top 20.
