The ability of Stan State to impact our region, one graduate at a time, again has been recognized by a national publication as MONEY Magazine ranked the University No. 5 in the nation on its list of “Most Transformative Schools.”

The ranking represents a leap of 31 spots over the 2018 ranking in a “value-added” category that, according to MONEY, measures the ability of a college to allow students to “beat the odds by doing better than would be expected from their academic and economic backgrounds.”

Stan State continues to be highly regarded in MONEY’s annual publication in other areas. MONEY’s “Best for the Money” rankings placed Stan State No. 68 overall and No. 44 among public colleges, and the University is No. 19 nationally among colleges where the acceptance rate is higher than 50 percent.

The MONEY rankings come on the heels of Stan State being named to the Princeton Review’s “Top 385 Colleges” list for a 14th straight year. In that publication, Stan State was one of only three CSUs to make the list, and joined UC Merced as the only two four-year universities from the Central Valley to be honored.
