The College of Business Administration at Stanislaus State was notified today that its accreditation from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has been extended for another five years.

AACSB accreditation is a distinction awarded to fewer than 5 percent of business schools worldwide and about one-third of U.S. postsecondary business programs. It represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide and is the hallmark of excellence in management and business administration education.

“This is a recognition of the quality of the education students receive at Stan State, on par with the best business schools throughout the world," said Tomas Gomez-Arias, dean of the College of Business Administration. “It also highlights the impact our faculty, staff, students and alumni have on our region.”

Universities that earn AACSB accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review.

This AACSB accreditation assures students, graduates and their eventual employers that the business programs at Stan State have completed intensive evaluation and peer review and that the college’s mission and goals have been achieved through qualified faculty, relevant curriculum, adequate learning resources and effective policies and practices.

This AACSB accreditation honor is a significant indication of excellence in undergraduate and graduate business education at Stanislaus State.
