California needs more math and science teachers and people who are considering helping to meet that demand are invited to find out more at a free “Dinner with a Math or Science Teacher” program on Monday, May 4 at California State University, Stanislaus.
 
Scheduled for 6 p.m. in the University Union following a 5 p.m. tour of the CSU Stanislaus campus, the program is open to high school and college students as well as anyone considering a career as a mathematics or science teacher. Participants are required to make reservations in advance on a first-come, first-serve basis by Wednesday, April 29. Participants will have the opportunity to interact at the dinner program with CSU Stanislaus mathematics and science faculty and local seventh through 12th grade teachers.
 
The May 4 event is being hosted by the CSU Stanislaus College of Natural Sciences, Mathematics Department, and the Math and Science Teacher Initiative program.
