The annual guide compiled by the New York-based education services company profiles the country's top 165 colleges chosen for their excellent academics, generous financial aid packages, and relatively low costs. The 2008 edition of "America's Best Value Colleges" (Random House/Princeton Review, $18.95) goes on sale nationwide today (April 24, 2007).
Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and Long Beach State are the only other CSU schools included in the Best Values guide.
"This latest recognition demonstrates that providing students with a great education at an affordable price is one of our top priorities at CSU Stanislaus," University President Hamid Shirvani said. "Since we provide competitive financial aid packages and a variety of generous scholarship programs, many of our students are able to graduate with a comparatively low rate of debt."

In its narrative profile on CSU Stanislaus in the Best Values publication, The Princeton Review's editors commend the University for its diverse student population, high student retention rates boosted by a network of on-campus resources that recognize the large number of first-generation college students and an emphasis on welcoming students, accessible professors, consistent advising, and supportive administrators.
CSU Stanislaus is also ranked in an elite circle of higher education institutions in the 2008 edition of its popular annual "Best 366 Colleges" guidebook, scheduled for nationwide release in August.
