California State University (CSU), Stanislaus has again been recognized as of the country's best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. For the sixth consecutive year, CSU Stanislaus is featured in the 2012 edition of the prestigious college guide "The Best 376 Colleges." CSU Stanislaus is one of only two California State University campuses to receive this honor, and the only one to receive the recognition for six-straight years.
Only 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges and just three colleges outside the U.S. are profiled in The Princeton Review's flagship higher education guide. It includes detailed profiles of the colleges, plus ranking lists of top 20 schools in the book in 62 categories based on The Princeton Review's surveys of students attending the colleges. CSU Stanislaus received high marks for quality of life, safety, and “green,” a measure of the university’s commitment to the environment in its policies, practices and education programs.
Additionally, The Princeton Review recognized CSU Stanislaus as one of the best colleges in the West in its website feature, "2012 Best Colleges: Region by Region," posted August 1, 2011, on www.PrincetonReview.com. Collectively, schools on the regions’ best lists represent just 25 percent of four-year colleges in the U.S.
