What: Heralding Event to announce nominees for the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Where: CSU Stanislaus Quad

Details: The campus community and public are invited to the CSU Stanislaus Quad to hear the reading of the names of undergraduate and graduate students and faculty who have been invited to join the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Member and Professor John Mayer will read the names, with officers and other faculty members attending in academic regalia.

Phi Kappa Phi recognizes and encourages superior scholarship in all academic disciplines. Admission to the honor society is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval in accordance with the bylaws of both the chapter and the national society. The top 7.5 percent of juniors and top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students are eligible for initiation, with GPA, units completed and citizenship also being taken into account.

Phi Kappa Phi Week will be April 29 to May 3, with various presentations to be announced. The week will culminate with an initiation ceremony on May 3, with President (Interim) Joseph Sheley serving as the guest speaker.
