Today, we are announcing another change to further protect health and safety by minimizing the potential spread of the disease within our community and in the broader community.

Effective immediately, all CSU employees age 65 and older or vulnerable to COVID-19 should not come to work. If you believe you are in the vulnerable category and need special accommodations, please contact HR, Rebekah Temple at rtemple@csustan.edu. If you need to retrieve items from campus, please work with your supervisor or dean. Every effort will be made to deliver essential materials as soon as possible.

Staff age 65 and older: Managers are asked to provide opportunities for employees to work remotely when possible while keeping their units open for business. We recognize not all work can be performed remotely. Those unable to work remotely will be put on administrative leave with pay for their normal scheduled work hours.

Faculty age 65 and older: Please note someone will notify students in your classes on Monday and Tuesday. Please do not come to campus.

As further clarity emerges from the Governor’s office, and as the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 continue to change, we reserve the right to adjust this directive.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this rapidly changing situation. We remain committed to the health and safety of all faculty, staff and students. Please take care of yourselves.

For the most up-to-date information, please see the COVID-19 Updates & FAQs page. As this is a rapidly changing situation, we encourage you to check back frequently.
