More than 100 colleges and universities will participate in the Central Valley Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC) College Fair for high school students and their families on Monday, April 27 at California State University, Stanislaus.
The all-day event in Warrior Arena includes morning and evening sessions, starting with a 9 a.m. to noon program and resuming with a 6 to 8 p.m. finale. Admission is free and open to all 9th through 12th grade high school students, their parents, and prospective college transfer students.
CSU Stanislaus has co-hosted the fair on a rotating basis since 2001 after being selected as one of the host sites. The program is of particular interest to high school juniors and their parents who are seeking information about higher education opportunities.
More than 3,000 student visitors and their parents from all over Central California are expected to head for Turlock by the bus load to collect information and speak with college representatives at the information tables in Warrior Arena.
A workshop on how to successfully choose a college will be presented before the evening session, with college counselors available for questions. Tours of the CSU Stanislaus campus will be provided at 8 a.m. and every 30 minutes from noon until 2:30pm. This is a co-sponsored event by WACAC and CSU Stanislaus.
