The California State University, Stanislaus College of Business Administration, in partnership with Simpler Consulting and the University’s Extended Education division, will host the 2nd Annual Central California Lean Enterprise Conference on November 12 and 13 at the University.
Designed for executives and organizational leaders in the public and private sectors, the two-day Wednesday and Thursday conference will cover the latest methods in learning how to be “lean” in today’s competitive market place, according to Dr. Nael Aly, Dean of the College of Business Administration. In just under two days, participants will learn the business model for a successful transformation to a streamlined and more efficient business process, attend benchmarking tours of local organizations which have embarked upon their lean journey, and see examples of lean transformation of companies in the manufacturing, public, and service sectors.
Speakers will include Steve Montes and John Rubio, consultants with Simpler, a lean enterprise consulting firm based in Ottumwa, Iowa; Katrina Kidd, Continuous Improvement Manager of General Mills; Jim Montavon, Director of Supply Chain, Racor, Inc.; and John Jacinto, President of Vistech Manufacturing Solutions. The conference will also include an opening-day tour of the Racor Inc. Parker Haniffin Division plant in Modesto where fuel filters, additives, and retainers are manufactured.
Cost of the conference is $295 per person. For additional information and registration, contact the College of Business Administration at 209-667-3288, or go to the conference Web site at http://www.extendeded.com/lean. Registration can be completed on the Web site.
