California State University, Stanislaus will be on display October 17-19 for prospective students as well as current students and their families during a pair of special programs at which they can explore the campus and meet professors in a casual setting. 
 
Prospective students and their families will have their special day on campus on Saturday, October 18 with the annual Preview Day program. Freshmen and sophomore students and their families are invited to come to campus as well for the three-day Family Weekend program scheduled for Friday through Sunday, October 17-19. CSU Stanislaus is located at One University Circle off Monte Vista Avenue in Turlock.
 
As high school seniors start the application process for college, they will find the University's October 18 Preview Day a good orientation tool. Prospective college students and their families will receive answers to their planning questions from staff and faculty at the 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. program. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. in the Mary Stuart Rogers Educational Services Gateway Building and no advance registration is required. At the Saturday Preview Day, on-site admissions and electronic application sessions will be conducted for fall 2009. Students are encouraged to bring their information and apply for fall 2009 admission. Campus tours, displays, and workshops for various programs such as financial aid and housing are on the day's schedule. KHOP-95.1 FM radio will have a booth on campus from 10 a.m. to noon to broadcast live during the festivities as the University’s more than 100 academic programs are introduced. Participants are also welcome to join in many of the Family Weekend activities which include Preview Day. Current students and their families will discover the CSU Stanislaus experience at the Third Annual Family Day which will feature a variety of activities, programs, and tours that are designed to provide examples of University academic and extracurricular activities. Headlining the Family Weekend activities at 9 a.m. Saturday is a social for parents in the Carol Burke Lounge where they can meet University faculty, staff, and administrators. Other activities include tours, demonstrations, open houses in a variety of academic departments and offices, lectures, informational programs, and a drama production. Family members will have the opportunity to attend a class with students on Friday, October 17.
