What: CSU Stanislaus Young Writers’ Workshop
When: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., June 4 through 15

Who: Students entering Grades 5 through 8 in Fall 2012
Details: The Great Valley Writing Project (GVWP) at CSU Stanislaus is sponsoring a two-week youth writing program for students entering Grades 5 through 8 in the fall. Under the guidance of experienced GVWP Teacher Consultants, students share writings with fellow students, conference with teachers, and experiment with a variety of genre and creative techniques.
The $250 registration fee includes all class materials, program T-shirt and anthology of the students’ writing. To register, contact Alyssa Coelho or the GVWP office at (209) 667-3490 or gvwp@cststan.edu.
The Great Valley Writing Project at CSU Stanislaus was established in 1983 and is a local site of the National Writing Project (NWP), the most significant coordinated effort to improve writing in America. NWP sites, located on 200 university and college campuses, serve more than 135,000 participants annually. For more information about the National Writing Project, visit www.nwp.org.
