Annual Circle of Change Leadership Conference draws top student leaders and industry experts from the western U.S.
California State University (CSU), Stanislaus Human Resources Management student Karina Avila was recently named the winner of the Circle of Change Leadership Conference Business Case Competition in Long Beach.
The event attracted top student leaders from the western U.S. along with a large panel of leadership experts and speakers. The three-day intensive program ended with the case presentations and graduation ceremony. The case competition involved students practicing, reading, analyzing and presenting their case analyses to a panel of leadership experts, and to the entire audience of attendees.
“This performance is a good sign for our SHRM club as we prepare for the 2012 Pacific Western Regional SHRM Case Study Competition,” said Dr. Ed Hernandez, management, operations and marketing professor and SHRM club advisor.
Karina is currently an officer in the CSU Stanislaus Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) club and a senior majoring in Human Resources Management. Also in attendance were seniors Danielle Fletcher and Thalia Guerrero, who also serve as officers in the SHRM club.
