WHAT: 6th Annual Conference for Sustainable Futures featuring the Bioneers Conference

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 21

WHERE: CSU Stanislaus, Turlock. Most lectures and presentations will take place in the Mary Stuart Rogers Educational Gateway Services Building (MSR), Room 130.

DETAILS: The Conference for Sustainable Futures runs concurrently with the annual Bioneers Conference, an acclaimed forum of social and scientific innovators meeting this year in San Rafael, California. Bioneers lectures and presentations will be beamed live to the Turlock campus by satellite from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Speakers include Bill McKibben, Dr. Gabor Mate and Paul Hawken.

Programs taking place in Turlock include a lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, “Over Troubled Waters: The Fate of California Is In Your Hands,” presented by Barbara Barrigan-Parilla, campaign director of Restore the Delta; and a reception and keynote address on Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

All sessions are free to students, faculty, staff and the community. Registration is not required.
