Two California State University (CSU) Stanislaus business students have claimed the prestigious 2011 Lynn Boone Memorial Scholarship for top Human Resources students in Northern California.
Danielle Fletcher, president of the campus HR Club, and Jacquie Kinimaka, a star of the recent HR Games, beat out a large crop of top Human Resources students to win the $3,000 scholarships.

“We cannot be more thrilled that we won two of these awards this year. This is evidence that our students are as good as any in the country. I am especially thrilled knowing that both students will be returning in 2012 to compete for our HR Games team,” said Ed Hernandez, CSU Stanislaus College of Business Administration faculty member.

Danielle Fletcher is steadily building a record of HR accomplishments that is giving her a national reputation. She won the National SHRM Undergraduate Award, the National SHRM Internship Award and now the Lynn Boone Scholarship. In addition, she was the opening welcome speaker at the 2010 National SHRM Conference in San Diego.

Jacquie Kinimaka
Jacquie Kinimaka was both a star player on the 2011 HR Games team and a former track athlete for CSU Stanislaus. “You cannot know how much this changes my life,” said Ms. Kinimaka. “I can now afford to work on an internship this summer and focus on developing new skills and learning as much as I can. I am very thankful to the HR Symposium and the Lynn Boone Memorial committee.”
