CSU Stanislaus ranked 10th among 233 schools in the Western United States in Washington Monthly’s “Best Bang for the Buck — Western Rankings” list. Comprising both public and for-profit schools, the list featured eight California campuses in the top 10, including three UC and five CSU campuses.
The list is derived from the recently published “The Other College Guide: A Roadmap to the Right School for You” by Jane Sweetland and Washington Monthly editor Paul Glastris. The book ranks 1,540 U.S. colleges and universities on five criteria: net price based on annual family income; graduation rate; student loan default rate; percent of applicants admitted; and applicants’ ACT/SAT scores.
