Scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University’s Main Quad area and sponsored by the CSU Stanislaus Office of Alumni Affairs, the First Annual Spring Reunion is free and open to the public. Alumni are especially encouraged to attend the family-centered event that will feature a Family Fun Zone including children’s story readings, bounce houses, face painting, Skyy Dogs USA, and other attractions for the youngsters.
“This event is designed to bring alumni back to campus, where they can reunite with friends and professors while seeing all of the many positive changes that have taken place at CSU Stanislaus over the years,” CSU Stanislaus President Dr. Ham Shirvani said. “It will be a day filled with fun and energy.”
Highlighting the event will be a performance by Rockin’ Ray and the Amazing Skyy Dogs, billed as America’s most exciting entertainers. They are famous for their incredible disc catching and leaping ability, graceful aerobatic skills, and jump rope talents.
In addition to the Family Fun Zone, the event will include music from student radio station KCSS 91.9 FM, food booths, a “College row” line of booths featuring each of the University’s six colleges, and tours of the University campus. The tours will include the new Nora and Hashem Naraghi Hall of Science and the nearly completed Student Recreation Complex that includes a student fitness center and lighted stadium complex for soccer, track and field, and intramural programs.
