California State University, Stanislaus will launch a new accelerated Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice program on Tuesday, February 24 at the Modesto Police Department. The program is designed to meet the needs of both those working in law enforcement as well as people pursuing a career in the field.

Offered through the CSU Stanislaus Department of Criminal Justice in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences in cooperation with University Extended Education, the degree program is open to all pursuing a career in the criminal justice field.

The 18-month degree program, designed for working professionals, features classes starting every five weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Modesto Police Department. The program is oriented to students who have completed or are nearing completion of two years of college course work and want to complete their bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

“CSU Stanislaus is eager to help meet the needs of students in the criminal justice and law enforcement profession who are seeking to advance their professional opportunities at the management level,” said Dr. Carolyn Stefanco, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dean Stefanco noted that she is committed to assisting those students who want to enter the profession, and whose work schedules make it difficult to enter the traditional degree program at the Turlock campus.
