March 16, 2020

With the health and safety of all members of our campus community paramount to our concerns, we are announcing a significant change to our previous communication regarding instructional continuity.

All face-to-face classes are suspended effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, and will commence again through alternate modes of instruction effective April 2, 2020. Courses that have already migrated to fully virtual modes of instruction may continue to operate as planned for the remainder of this week, as should fully online courses already underway. While it is important that you share this information with students in your classes, you should also know that a separate communication will also be sent to all students. Recognizing that students are justifiably experiencing concerns, please try your best to reassure them about course continuity and the status of their grades.

Classes will resume in alternate modalities only, effective April 2, 2020. Exemptions to this directive are no longer possible.

Reminder: All other campus functions remain operational at this time. We are attempting to maintain services while providing opportunities for staff to telecommute.

This updated directive is in response to the rapidly changing COVID-19 spread. We recognize the difficulties the outbreak has created for everyone and appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this current challenge.

Please continue to check your email and our Campus FAQs for the latest information, as well as archives of campus communications. More information will be sent this afternoon; please have patience as we continue configuring our campus response to this rapidly changing situation.
